Meet
Clinical psychologist, author, and expert in personal transformation and spiritual growth. A pioneer in transpersonal psychotherapy with over 40 years experience, Dr. Hedva has worked with individuals and organizations to help them achieve greater emotional resilience, mental clarity, and overall well-being. Known for her compassionate approach to healing, blending psychological insight and embodied awareness with spiritual wisdom, Dr. Hedva was called by United Nations ambassadors and national associations on emergency humanitarian missions to train and upgrade psychologists and volunteer recovery workers in the two deadliest natural disasters of the century –to support post-civil war Sierra Leone healing; develop and lead multigenerational – genocide recovery in post-Vietnam Cambodia to facilitate recovery from colonization, and tackle racism between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal Canadians.
Currently acting as Director of Training and Lead Facilitator at the Canadian Institute for Transpersonal and Integrative Sciences, Dr. Hedva developed the Embodied Awareness Certification Program, which she co-facilitates with a team of Certified Embodied Awareness Facilitators™ dedicated to extending emotional healing and renewal into our communities world-wide.
Embodied Awareness Training and Facilitator Certification is an experiential, psycho-educational training program for helping professionals, educators, first responders, and volunteers to guide individuals and groups to access their existing inner resources for personal growth and self-healing in a technique that can be passed on to others for community healing.
Offered through the Canadian Institute for Transpersonal and Integrative Sciences (CITIS), this training is based on Dr Beth Hedva’s evidence-based Spiritually Directed Therapy™ Protocol for Recovery, which was validated under the harsh conditions of the two deadliest environmental disasters of the century.
