Description: This is the fifth of ten on-line modules in the Canadian Institute for Transpersonal and Integrative Sciences(CITIS) Certification Program. Course five analyze the tension between a basic human needs to belong and brain stem instinctive teritoriality. Note how the pain of feeling ‘different’ becomes patterns of oppression – on a personal level expressed as “me versus you/power-struggles’; and on a collective level “us versus them/tend and defend”, which define societal patterns of oppression. Define Dr. Pamela Haye’s A-D-D-R -E-S-S- I-N-G diversity model (2016). By completing all 10 courses you will be able to explain and describe the interaction between our outer physical world and  inner subtle intra-psychic realities.  Special attention is given to using inner spiritual healing resources, symbolic process and embodied awareness to transform post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) into post-traumatic growth (PTG). A blend of best-practices in psychology together with cross-cultural spiritual healing traditions  are reviewed, ranging from  Drs Tedeschi and Calhoun from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte symptoms of post traumatic growth; and explore Hedva’s evidence based Spiritually Directed Protocol® for recovery from trauma to ancient Hindu and other Indigenous traditions provide specific tools and techniques that help to convert traumatic injury into personal growth and learning.

Grievance Policy: In the event that a participant has a grievance a complaint about a CE Program, including but not limited to complaints about the instructor, content of the course, facilities, and staff, or learning platform for online courses, the complaint shall be directed to WCEA Customer Service, who shall contact the complainant and attempt to resolve the issue directly with the complainant.

If a resolution satisfactory to the complainant cannot be reached, WCEA Customer Service will contact Dr Beth Hedva or her assignee at Dr. Beth Hedva to inform her of the complainant that the complaint. Dr Beth Hedva or her assignee will present the complaint, together with any attempted resolution, to the Executive Director of the Canadian Institute for Transpersonal and Integrative Sciences (CITIS). The CITIS Executive Director will determine a reasonable resolution of the complaint. The CITIS Executive Director will communicate the proposed resolution to the complainant and to Dr Beth Hedva or her assignee.

A summary of complaints, should there be any, are reported to the CAMFT and kept in a password protected file for four years.

Level 2: Embodied Awareness Awareness Facilitator Designation

Level 2 Embodied Awareness Facilitator Certification Training delivers in-depth face-to-face / LIVE experience putting the theories, concepts and practices discussed in the on-line course into practice both personally and professionally. Level 1 Certificate of Completion is a pre-requisite for the Level 2 Certified Embodied Awareness Facilitator designation. An application and interview process is required to be considered for Level 2 Certification, which is limited to 12 students per year. Certification is awarded upon completiong of attendance in training group and supervised practicum.

This program provides training, support, and supervision to future cultural heroes and pioneers who wish to incorporate Embodied Awareness Practices into their occupation or share skills and practices with individuals, groups, communities, agencies or institutions.
